Adobe Digital Editions allows users to view and manage eBooks from a desktop computer/laptop. Copy-protected eBooks can be transferred from a personal computer to other computers or devices. Adobe Digital Editions supports industry-standard eBook formats, including EPUB and PDF.

To transfer EPUB or PDF format eBooks with Adobe DRM from your computer to your NOOK, you’ll need to download and install Adobe Digital Editions (ADE) on your computer. From there, you’ll be able to transfer supported eBook files to your NOOK.

NOTE: Using ADE will work with transferring both Adobe DRM content and DRM-free content.

  • When prompted, select Authorize Computer.
  • If you don’t already have an Adobe ID, click the Get an Adobe ID link to create an Adobe account.
  • When you’re done, return to Adobe Digital Editions.
  • Enter your Adobe ID and password, and click Activate.
