This guide is designed for students that are unfamiliar with databases, such as many EAP students, and how they are used in research.

How Do I Chooose??

Using the right database for your assignment can be confusing!  The video tutorial in this tab will help you in selecting the databases best suited to your topic.

Selecting Databases

1. Once you are logged into Atlas click the Courses tab.  Next, select Search The Library in the upper right corner of the screen.

2.  Click Databases By Subject to see areas your topic will fall under.  Click the I button beside any database for more information concerning what it covers and the types of topics and sources available.

3. Consult with a librarian or your instructor. There may be specific databases that pertain to your assignment or topic.

The video below shows you how to access the databases by subject categories.
