Interpreter of Maladies

Jhumpa Lahiri’s short story “Interpreter of Maladies” comes from her 1999 Pulitzer Prize-winning collection bearing the same title.  It concerns the cultural divide yawning between a tour guide in India who leads an American family of Indian ancestry through an India which is now foreign to them.
