Wild Nights - Wild Nights!

The poem “Wild Nights - Wild Nights!” was written by Emily Dickinson circa 1861 and was first published in 1891. This erotic poem conveys passion with imagery of the sea. This poem is number 249 in the numbering system developed by Thomas Johnson for Emily Dickinson’s poetry and number 269 in the system used by Ralph Franklin. Dickinson’s poems are sometimes indexed only by their numbers.
