Holy Trinity (Trinity) - Masaccio

Masaccio (1401-1428) was an early Renaissance Italian painter who paved the way for later great artists like Raphael.  Masaccio particularly made contributions to the depiction of human anatomy.  Also, he contributed to the use of perspective (three-dimensional appearance) in painting.  Such achievements are apparent in his 1425 fresco, Holy Trinity (Trinity), which appears in the Church of Santa Maria Novella in Florence, Italy
