Valencia's Resources

Valencia wants to see students graduate, achieve their dreams, and go on to live productive, happy lives. As you probably discovered at the beginning of the semester with exploring East Campus as a "place," there are many resources available to help plan for your future careers.

 

Career Center 

The East Campus Career Center is located in Building 5, Room 230. Career Center services and programs are designed to help students:

  • learn more about their personality, interests, skills and values
  • discover career options best suited to them
  • decide on a major related to career choice
  • research 4-year college/university, graduate, and professional school transfer requirements
  • review resumes and cover letters
  • learn about job interviewing techniques
  • research career fields and job outlook

Career Coach

Career Coach is a free online tool that allows students and community members to explore potential careers.

Through a simple keyword search, students and community members can learn about the employment prospects of careers they want to research. The real-time information is customized for Orange and Osceola counties and includes detailed wage estimates and up-to-date job postings associated with any career. Users are directed to Valencia’s programs when searching for specific jobs.

Career Coach also includes a built-in resume builder to help students and job seekers quickly and efficiently put together an updated resume with key skills and job experience highlighted.

Career Planner 

Valencia College is proud to offer its students free access to all Myplan.com career planning services. To take any of the career assessments, you need to first create an account. On the second page of registration, please enter the license code that is found in Atlas under the LifeMap tab on the My Career Planner channel and you will gain lifetime access to all the tests!
