Research is fun--and I'm not just saying that because I am a librarian. Research provides a means to satisfy your curiosities, pursue your interests, learn new things, and make important decisions. The skills you build from completing the Career Ladder and Industry Trends assignments will help you gain new knowledge and give you a step up once you begin your career.
Now back to the fun. One of the most important rules of research is to pick a topic that interests you. If you're not interested in the topic, then why would you want to find out more information about it? So, please (pretty please!) pick a topic that interests you.
Also, do a few searches in the library's databases or Google before you officially pick your topic. This is a great way to see if there is enough information available on your topic, if you should broaden your topic, or perhaps if you should choose another topic altogether.
The good news is that you are not in this alone. I am here and so is a team of librarians. We will help walk you through the process and assist in locating the information you may need.
Happy researching!
