I am Cassidy Boulanger, an Art Education major, Seneff Honors Student, and President of Future Educators club at Valencia East Campus. I am so passionate about learning and about education that researching my future career was something that inspired me to want to become a great art teacher who can in turn inspire my students.
ABSTRACT: Art teachers have a positive impact on the curriculum and their students journey to success and achievement in school. Art classrooms help students develop a sense of creativity and self expression, led by their teacher who utilizes the visual arts to help students learn and develop through primary school, and prepares them for higher education. Education is changing as society does: all leading to the path of an eventual education reform. The growth a future educator must endure in order to complete their education and transition from student to art teacher is significant. There are many obstacles to overcome before embracing one’s career path: mainly, an effective pedagogy.
