Virtual Proctor Testing: What Do I Need for My Exam?

A guide created to provide you with information about live virtual proctoring, how to register and what to expect on the day of your testing appointment.

What Do I Need?

  • A computer or laptop with access to stable internet and Zoom, with a detached webcam. Phones or tablet devices are not permitted.
  • Use the Zoom link provided in the confirmation email from RegsiterBlast for your proctoring session. Your confirmation email is in your Atlas account.
  • Arrive at your live virtual proctoring session on time.
  • Be patient and prepared to wait a few minutes during the check-in process.
  • Be prepared to log-in to Canvas to complete your test.
  • Have your photo ID ready; Valencia student ID, government-issued ID, or high school ID card.
  • The proctor will require you to scan your room with the detached webcam.
  • You will only be permitted to have access to materials approved by your instructor, i.e. access to scrap paper or note cards. 
  • Be prepared to complete your test in a quiet, distraction-free room, on a hard surface.
