Welcome to the Valencia College Library! In this lesson, we'll introduce items you can borrow and access from the Library for free, such as books, eBooks, subscription articles, library databases, streaming video, DVDs, equipment and devices. We'll also discuss ways that librarians can help students with research.
Search the Library for a book or eBook on one of the following:
Tip: It is a good idea to try your search multiple times using different keywords. Keywords for attorney might include lawyer, public defender, district attorney, etc. Keywords for time management might include procrastination. When searching for books on careers, try the following:
career OR vocational guidance
Narrow your search further by searching for your major AND one of these keywords, like this:
nursing AND career; nursing AND vocational guidance
