Researching Companies

In this lesson, we'll identify companies that may hire people with your education, skills, and desired job roles. We'll find more information about these employers, such as career opportunities, benefits, mission and values.

Activity #1: Identify Industries, Companies & Roles

Use this website to explore the different industries, companies and job roles that are open to people with degrees in your major.

Activity #2: Search Job Postings

Use the Employ Florida website to search for current job postings in your field. Scroll to the Employer Research section to learn more about the company.

Activity #3: Explore a Company Website

Either follow a link from Employ Florida, OR Google the name of a company to find its official website. Look for sections of the site that address recruitment, career opportunities and benefits, as well as the company's mission, vision and values.
