This guide is for Professor Jackson's speech classes working on the informative speech.

Library Databases


Search Tips:

  1. Change the dropdown box to say Lead/First Paragraph.
  2. For Date, enter past twelve months.
  3. Under Source Types, select Newspapers.

Result Tips:

  1. Can display most recent articles first (right-hand side of the screen)
  2. Can select a particular newspaper, e.g. Orlando Sentinel.

  1. Check off the box labeled Full Text before searching.

Results Tip:

  1. Limit by date or source on the left-hand side of the screen.
