Gorilla, My Love



Toni Cade Bambara was a well-known African-American author.  In 1972, her collection of short stories called Gorilla, My Love was published.  The title short story from this collection, also entitled “Gorilla, My Love,” concerns a young girl who is disappointed when adults around her fail to keep their promises to her.
