In Broad Daylight
Ha Jin (Jin, Ha) is a Chinese-American author who writes poems, novels, and short stories, often concerning life in Communist China. “In Broad Daylight” is a short story included in Ha Jin’s 1997 collection entitled Under the Red Flag. “In Broad Daylight” is a harsh story about the arrest and punishment of a Chinese woman for adultery and prostitution.
