Aunt Jennifer’s Tigers
Adrienne Rich is an American poet known for her feminist works. “Aunt Jennifer’s Tigers” is a poem that appears in Rich’s 1951 collection entitled A Change of World. “Aunt Jennifer’s Tigers” concerns a housewife who is embroidering a tapestry featuring bold tigers. Even so, this lady feels intimidated herself and trapped by her domestic life.
