The novel Dracula, by Bram Stoker, was first published in 1897.  Jonathan Harker, an English solicitor, visits Count Dracula, a vampire, in Transylvania to conduct business with the count.  He bought Dracula a country home in England.  Count Dracula moves to England from his native Transylvania in search of new blood.
