One Hundred Years of Solitude (Cien Anos de Soledad)

Published in 1967, One Hundred Years of Solitude by Gabriel Garcia Marquez tells the story of several generations of the Buenadia family in the fictional Columbian town of Macondo. Using mystical events alongside portrayals of everyday life in Columbia, Marquez brings the genre of “magical realism” to new heights.
