The reign of Great Britain’s King George VI, who was on the throne during World War II, is illustrated beautifully by the 2010 film, The King’s Speech. In this Oscar-winning movie, directed by Tom Hooper, a speech therapist named Lionel Logue helps George VI to overcome a speech impediment. Colin Firth stars as George VI and Geoffrey Rush co-stars as Lionel Logue.
