Nighthawks
Edward Hopper, a twentieth-century American artist, was well-known for his realistic portrayal of modern life. Hopper’s most famous painting, Nighthawks, was painted in 1942 and now is located at the Art Institute of Chicago. Nighthawks depicts lonely people sitting in an urban diner at night.
