The Iliad
The Iliad by Homer was probably written in the 700’s B.C.E. This epic poem is an account of the Greek siege of Troy. It depicts the tragic struggle between the Greek warrior Achilles and King Agamemnon, the struggle between Achilles and the Trojan warrior, Hector, and so on.
