The links below in the left column will take you directly to the story. For stories available in the library databases, you will need to enter your borrower ID and pin to access the stories. Your borrower ID is your VID number (with the V). Your pin is the last four digits of your VID number.
The books on the right are in the Valencia East Library and can be checked out for 3 weeks at a time wth your Valencia ID, or in the case of two titles (Ten Little Indians and A Good Man Is Hard To Find) they are Ebooks that you can access from home, again by using your VID number and Pin
*Note there aren't any links to James Baldwin stories. If you choose Baldwin, I suggest selecting one of his short stories from the collection, Going to Meet the Man. Some of these can be found in the Baldwin book shown below.
NOTE: These Junot Díaz stories were all published in The New Yorker, which only allows you to access the website 4 times per month without a subscription. If you’re interested in these stories and think you might use one, please print them out or save them to a Word document the first time you open them. That way, you’ll be able to access the story several times.
