Q: How can I connect with a Valencia Counselor for emotional support?  

A: Connect with a Valencia Counselor about your emotional health both in person and virtually.  

 

Q: Is this a confidential service?

A: Privacy is assured in most cases, however, Valencia Counselors are not licensed therapists, therefore session confidentiality is not guaranteed.  Counselors will only share information on a case-by-case basis, determined through an educational need to know threshold.

 

Q: What is BayCare?

A: BayCare is Valencia’s Student Assistance Program.  They provide students with free, therapeutic sessions with therapists across Florida.  Simply call 800.878.5470 or email BayCareSAP@baycare.org to request assistance 24/7.    

 

Q: When do I use/suggest BayCare services?

A: When students express mental health distress and/or would benefit from speaking with a licensed therapist, contacting BayCare is recommended; call 800.878.5470 or email BayCareSAP@baycare.org to request assistance 24/7.
