Go to the Courses tab.
Click on Search the Library.
OR
Use your VID number as your Borrower ID (include the V).
(If you have a pre-2008 ID, use the 14 digit number on the back of your Valencia ID instead.)
Use the last 4 digits of your VID number as the PIN.
These color-coded guides and videos will assist you in building or checking your citations.
Opposing Viewpoints is a particularly good place to start when searching for alternate stances on an issue, as the Mash-Up assignment requires you to do.
Search on your topic, e.g. minimum wage, and note the different categories that come up.
Viewpoints Essays, if there are any in your search, are a good category to start with as they contain alternate stances on different issues.
Here are a couple of additional databases like Opposing Viewpoints that may be helpful.
Academic Search Complete is a general database, meaning that it has articles on just about any topic you can imagine.
Use it to find additional sources.
Search tip: use keywords or phrases and insert each concept into a separate box, e.g.
minimum wage in the first box
united states in the second box
college students in the third box
