ENC 1102 (Fuhrman): Home

Welcome to the LibGuide for Professor Fuhrman's ENC 1102 course at the Winter Park Campus! This guide is designed to provide you with resources relevant to your assignments, as well as general information on how to search the library databases and cite your sources. If you have any questions, please don't hesitate to stop by the library in Room 140 or call or email the Valencia Winter Park Library Team with the contact information on this page.

How to Use This Guide

This research guide is divided by assignment.

You can try a general search below in the Searching the Library box below on this page.

You can find specific databases that connect to individual assignments by clicking through the tabs at the top of your screen.

You can also find out information about how to format your MLA citations and create annotated bibliographies by clicking on the MLA Citations & Annotated Bibliographies tab.

Searching the Library

You can locate books and e-books by searching our online catalog.  Try searching using keyword or subject searches.  A few examples of searches you can try are:

  • Survivalism
  • Plastic AND waste
  • Opioid AND addiction OR abuse
  • Homelessness

Click search to begin navigating. To narrow your results, you can limit searches by location (Winter Park, or eResources), date, and/or format (newspaper, journal articles, books, ebooks, etc.). You will also want to use AND and OR to help narrow down your topic. It will likely take a few searches to generate relevant matches, so keep refining as you go!

Don't forget to download and save articles or email links to yourself when items are of interest to you.
