Quick Start Library Guide: West Campus

Use this handy guide to learn about and gain access to all the library resources from home or on-the-go!

Materials Checked Out?

While campuses are closed, please wait until the library reopens to return borrowed materials and equipment such as laptops and iPads. All fees and fines for library materials due during the closure will be waived.

Library Assistance while Teaching Remotely

West campus librarians are available to assist faculty members as they transition their courses for online access:

  • Use Ask a Librarian service to get your questions answered
  • Embed library content in your Canvas course
  • Collaborate with liaison librarians to find and access digital resources and content
  • Support students by embedding a librarian in your Canvas course
    • Librarians can be added to your Canvas course using the Librarian role. We recommend creating an “Ask a Librarian” discussion board to provide students with a forum for asking research- and library-related questions.

    • Faculty members are encouraged to reach out to their liaison librarian to learn more about this option. Find your liaison below.

  • Access library instruction virtually. Schedule your library instruction session and select virtual/online as your modality.
