Quick Start Library Guide: Winter Park Campus

Use this handy guide to learn about and gain access to all the library resources from home or on-the-go!

Winter Park Library Hours and Location

The Winter Park Campus Library  
Room 140, 850 W. Morse Blvd., Winter Park, FL 32789
 

Our hours of operation for Summer 2022 are as follows:
Monday - Thursday: 8 AM - 7 PM
Friday: Closed
Closed on Saturdays and Sundays.

*Note: All libraries will close with the college the following dates in the summer: June 3rd, June 10th, June 17th, June 24th, July 1st, July 4th.

Stop by and visit us in Room 140! All services including books, computers, printing, quiet study space, and technology checkouts are available. 

 

Materials Checked Out?

Please return your items directly to the library (Room 140), or at any other Valencia College Library location. An indoor book drop is also available in the hallway just outside the library door, and it can be accessed anytime the Winter Park Campus is open. 

Return any tech items like graphing calculators or iPads to the Library front desk or to the Security Desk after hours. 

Interlibrary Loan/UBorrow

You can now request items from other Florida institutions through our UBORROW service by accessing our library catalog. If you have a request for an electronic resource, such as an online journal article held by another institution, contact Adam Johnson to see if your request can be processed. 

For Faculty: Using Library Resources in Your Online Classroom

The Winter Park Campus Library is available to assist faculty members as they transition their courses online

  • Use Ask a Librarian service to get your research questions answered. This service is available to both students and faculty should you need immediate assistance.
  • Embed library content in your Canvas course
  • Contact Adam Johnson to find and access digital resources and content to incorporate into your course.
  • Support students by embedding a librarian in your Canvas course
    • Librarians can be added to your Canvas course using the Librarian role. We are not able to grade or work with assignments but this is a great opportunity for students to interact with us in a research-focused discussion board. If you are interested in embedding a librarian into your course, please contact Adam Johnson to discuss specifics before you proceed. 
  • Access library instruction virtually. Schedule your library instruction session and discuss your needs in the comment boxes at the bottom of the form.
